How does Magigoo HT work?

MAGIGOO® HT is the 3D printing adhesive designed for use with high temperature engineering fulaments such as PEEK.

The adhesive makes sure prints stick firmly when the print-bed is hot and then releases as soon as it cools down. This unique and innovative mechanism means that no tools are needed to remove prints from the bed. They just pop off when the bed cools down. MAGIGOO® HT is tested to offer sure and reliable adhesion with build plate temperatures up to 150 °C.

MAGIGOO® HT has been designed and tested to work with different high temperature FDM filaments on glass build plates. As the composition and behaviour of high temperature plastics is different, the ideal settings for MAGIGOO® HT may vary.

Settings and Recommendations:

  • Bed and nozzle temperature : follow filament manufacturer’s recommendation. Bed temperature up to 150 °C.
  • Brim: 10-20 mm brim depending on part size.
  • Enclosed or heated build chamber necessary.

For more specific settings, check out our list of tested materials.

How to Apply

  • Shake the MAGIGOO® HT pen like you mean it
  • Press the nib (end of your pen) on the printing bed for MAGIGOO® HT to flow.
  • Spread the adhesive evenly on the printing area (cover your bed with an even thin layer).

MAGIGOO® HT should be applied on a cool bed which has been appropriately cleaned (preferably with water). Make sure to use MAGIGOO® HT with the suggested plastics and with a correctly leveled bed and suitable printing settings. Squeeze bottle gently only when the nib is pressed against the bed. Keep the nib away from dirt. A second application upon dried layer is recommended for large challenging prints.

WARNING: Ensure proper bed leveling. Having the nozzle too close to the bed surface may cause excess adhesion and damage the bed.

For more tips and tricks on 3D Printing and using Magigoo HT, kindly refer to the Magigoo Manual.

After your prints have been removed, clean the cool printing bed by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use just water.

MAGIGOO® HT can be applied to commonly used 3D printing surfaces such as glass, PEI and others.

How to store

MAGIGOO® HT is best stored upright, with the cap closed and away from direct sunlight. MAGIGOO® HT was specifically designed for mobility, which is good news if you want to take it with you on-the-go.
